I am currently a Development Engineer involved in the induction heating & melting industry. For the past 4 years I have been specializing in high frequency power supply design and implementation ranging from 60Hz to 500kHz and from 5kW to 6MW. On a weekly basis I help customize designs to meet a customer’s requirements of floor space and/or power specifications. I have extensive experience in both 2D and 3D drafting applications my best being AutoCad and Inventor, but also have experience in other applications including ProE and SolidWorks. I have experience in PLC programming, including Allen Bradley and Siemens.Working as an OEM has given me many vendor contacts of which I can rely on to find the correct part for they application I am working on.My office responsibilities involve assisting manufacturing on any assembly issues, assisting test in any anomalies, and ensuring the customers technical questions are answered as needed. I have experience in troubleshooting new designs for unforeseen issues, and working with manufacturing to streamline and address issues to increase production. I regularly travel to customers locations to conduct studies and explain operating parameters of our equipment. Onsite visits typically include; repair of equipment, analysis of equipment, harmonic measurements of equipment, studies of equipment failure, specialized startup of equipment, and courtesy calls to ensure equipment is still in operating order.
