• Understanding of purchasing terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling bid proposals. Work with the Company purchasing system. • Prepare evaluation of suppliers’ processes, and Requests for Quotations for non-complex, engineered equipment. • Possess the skills for analyzing bids to determine potential for cost savings. • Utilize schedules in the establishment of materials management milestones. • Assist in contacting suppliers for clarifications. • Tabulate bids and assist in performing bid analysis, price and cost analysis, and establishing cost reasonableness. • Assist in the preparation of client consent packages prior to award. • Assist in the preparation of the negotiation strategy and participates in negotiation meetings with suppliers. • Support review of invoices and resolution of discrepancies. • Assist in the evaluation of disputes with vendors. • Assist in the preparation of materials management reports. • Prepare purchase orders.
