Manage the weather forecasting department. Ensure that all weather forecasting employees are ready on a personal and professional level, that their morale is high, and that their needs are fulfilled. Solely manage the company's career transition program for departing military members' exit and re-integration into civilian life; help service members coordinate and plan their active-duty separation. Assist with the crew, manning and mission performance of the Weather Forecasting Department. Make sure that employees are ready, have good morale, and are taken care of by using leadership traits and principles and relating past experiences. Keep all pertinent leadership informed of all Weather Forecasting Department services, personnel, and equipment readiness. Ensure that the Weather Forecasting Department's training, qualification, and certification standards and expectations, including those directed by higher echelons, are managed. Execute the department's Leader Development Program by ensuring that professional conduct, education, the scheduling of counseling sessions, and the overall personal and professional growth of subordinates are successful. Supervise tasks that the weather forecasting department needs to do and those that have been given to subordinates to make sure they are done well and on time.
