For 2 months, I was a researcher for the University of Warwick Ultrasound Group where I completed a Summer research project. The aim of my project was to develop and test various devices that use ultrasound to measure airflow to an extremely accurate and precise degree, specifically with flow speeds on the order of millimetres per second.The experience allowed me to learn and develop a number of skills in Engineering, 3D modelling, 3D printing, maintenance, wiring and soldering, programming, testing, wind tunnel operation and collaborative experimentation.

As the Academic Coordinator of the Society, it was my job to network with potential speakers and organise biweekly talks on the topic of astronomy or astrophysics. Our most notable talk was when we invited Dr George Dransfield, an expert in exoplanets and co-host of The Sky at Night on BBC Four to give a talk at our welcome week on exoplanet discovery and classification.
