I work for the largest integrated health system in Northern MN. (stretching into ND and WI). Essentia operates roughly 15 hospitals, 69 clinics, 7 long-term care facilities, 2 assisted living facilities, 4 independent living facilities. In my role, I provide full-scope recruitment initiatives for assigned specialties; Primary Care, Dermatology, OB/GYN, Nephrology, Neurology and Endocrinology. This involves working with hospital/clinic administration to determine hiring needs and plans. A few projects I've really enjoyed: Working to develop our system-wide Strategic Operating Plan for all recruiting services. Serving as the physician recruitment representative on the development of our new Applicant Tracking System (Workday). Other things I do in a typical day include: designing lead generation strategies; screening and interviewing physician candidates; arranging and hosting site visits; negotiating contracts for potential physicians; and working with our credentialing and onboarding teams to provide a smooth transition to employment.

I have the joy of leading the congregation at New Life. We are a group of individuals that are aware of our brokenness, compassionate toward others, comfortable with being uncomfortable and lavish in our expressions of grace. We desire to surround ourselves with those that are not afraid to declare the truth, and yet are aware that they are in the process of discovering it… knowing it… and living it. We look forward to gathering with others to lift up our voices in song, prayer, testimony and whatever other gifts we bring – in corporate worship of the living God. Feeling encouraged, challenged and revived, we then disperse into the world, desiring to pour ourselves out as expressions of God's love.

Came into an 800+ member church that had stagnated in their community influence and numeric growth. Worked with the board and staff to cast vision and implement goals to achieve the stated vision. Increased online presence and interaction with community. Partnered with other organizations/businesses such as Super-One Foods, Celebrate Recovery and the Union Gospel Mission to bring the church out into the community and address pressing social concerns. 2014-2015.

Took over the reins of a church in rapid decline with many complex financial/staffing/facility problems. Turned an annual $150,000 budget deficit into positive cash flow in less than three years. Cast vision and worked with board and staff to implement the stated vision. Relocated facilities and overhauled organizational structure. Lead volunteer teams and developed a plan for community impact. Developed on-line presence and marketing materials. Lead successful capital campaign. 2008–2014.

Stepped in and provided immediate leadership and vision for a church in major crisis. Eric was hired as Sanctuary’s interim pastor and remained there for three years. Developed staff, implemented successful capital campaign and provided stability. Upon his departure, Sanctuary was a healthy, thriving church with a solid leadership team. July, 2005–2008.

Served as Co-Pastor over a staff that grew from two to eleven. Worked with a leadership team as the church more than doubled in size and established itself as a legitimate church with a national voice. Target audience; the Left-Out and Right Brained of urban Denver. (To gain a rough understanding of the uniqueness of this of this congregation will take a cup of coffee and about an hour.) 2003–2005.

ARC was a non-profit organization focused on working with public schools to teach students the value of living healthy lifestyles. Oversaw all aspects of ten national and international touring teams (200-5,000 seat venues). This position included: outside sales and sales team management; recruitment and training of personnel; leadership development; marketing; contract negotiations; coordinating tour schedules and logistics; financial management of tour groups; and donor relations. 1994-1999.
