I supported 4 SVPs in the Products and Technology organization including the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Security Officer, SVP of Infrastructure, and the Chief Technology Architect. My team is responsible for forecasting, planning, and strategic support for our Technology organization, including all headcount and related expenses, consulting, software, server and datacenter, and public cloud expenses (AWS, Azure, GCP). My team partners with engineering leadership to ensure optimal resource allocation, as well as guide them through investment decisions. We’ve been instrumental in establishing the methodology to allocate technology costs to Workday’s product P&Ls so that overall product profitability is understood. We regularly do ad-hoc cost modeling to support product pricing decisions for new offerings as well as new features, based on both our internal cloud hosting and public cloud cost structures. Earlier in my tenure I was responsible for revenue forecasting and analytics for our Analytics product suite (Prism and Accounting Center) as well.

I led the team responsible for the financial planning and decision support for Facebook’s network infrastructure. My team was responsible for all financial aspects of Facebook's edge, backbone, and datacenter network infrastructure providing connectivity between 1.5+ Billion global users and Facebook’s datacenters.My team provided ROI analyses for major submarine and terrestrial fiber investments as well as owned the cost models for various elements of the network so that Facebook could make informed decisions where the network was the primary resource involved.

Managed a team of seven responsible for:• AWS financial package (P&L): Responsible for the reporting package that supported the 3-year financial plan for all AWS cloud services including revenue, operating margins, free-cash-flow, ROIC, and asset velocity. The package was reviewed monthly with AWS executive leadership.• Cost analysis: As AWS cost lead, responsible for the infrastructure cost assignment methodology and reporting of all AWS marginal and average costs to support pricing analysis, new region launch strategies, and new product development and pricing.• Business finance support – Database Services and Cloudfront: Senior finance oversight for the revenue/demand planning, P&L management, custom pricing analysis and hardware capacity planning for AWS Database Services and Cloudfront (CDN) businesses.• Internal usage controllership: Finance lead for the launch of an internal billing project to charge back cloud computing consumption to internal teams. Key contact for Amazon Retail and Digital teams on pricing and cost reporting for Amazon services that ran on AWS infrastructure (i.e. Silk, Cloud Drive.)• AWS billing and authentication platform: As finance lead for billing, fraud and bad-debt, managed a number of business process improvement initiatives. These included the design and implementation of a payment-tracking, escalation, and collections process that reduced bad debt write-offs by more than 90%. Finance owner for all audit related inquiries and findings.• AWS Sales and Marketing (through June 2012): Supported the Sales, Marketing, Training, Professional Services and AWS Support organizations for annual budget development/tracking, P&L development, global headcount planning, and efficiency reporting.

Finance Manager for the multi-channel global gift certificate business (Corp Sales, Website, Physical Retail). Developed a channel based profitability and pricing model for the corporate direct business. Other sales support duties included variable comp plans, pricing and discount analysis and negotiations, credit risk analysis, and promotions approval and analysis. Finance lead for the physical store (gift card mall) launch in major drug and grocery chains nationwide. Built the profitability model and performed significant data analysis to support the value of gift certificates (breakage, customer acquisition, sales lift) sold on Amazon's US and international websites. The model supported paid search pricing, internal mechandising optimization, and retail promotions pairings.

Responsible for proposal preparation, project scoping, design analysis/engineering, technical specifications, construction contract documentation, cost estimating, and construction management of large and small civil construction projects for public sector and private sector clients.- Had two papers published which were presented to a national audience- Lead engineer and project manager for the seismic analysis and retrofit of the Lake Chaplain Dam (City of Everett). Recommended and oversaw a state-of-the-art analysis that reduced the remediation costs by over 50%.- Lead design engineer and project manager for the tailings dam raise (expansion) of the Kettle River tailings pond which was the first ever implementation of a new liner technology- Lead design engineer for the environmental remediation plan of the San Jose silver mine in Oruro, Bolivia. On site for 2 months hiring and managing local resources to complete all surveys, design studies, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Conducted Phase 1 & 2 environmental site assessments in support of commercial real estate transactions, asbestos and lead surveys, geotechnical investigations, and construction monitoring of commercial foundation projects.

Part of a program management consulting team responsible for project controls on the $900 MM DART light rail project. Performed forecasting, financial reporting, and activity based cost management system implementation.
