I am a Management System Consultant at STEP Enterprises - an ISO consultancy services business that has been delivering quality services, brimming with experience, expertise and excellent values, to a range of local and international clients for over a decade. I form part of the Operations Team that focuses on the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Management Systems, namely in the areas of Quality (ISO 9001:2015), the Environment (ISO 14001:2015), Information Security (ISO/IEC 27001:2022) and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001:2018) for STEP’s clients.I was elected the 4th President of YES-Europe to serve for the 2024 term, following my promotion from the YES-Europe Malta Country Representative position. I served as the Country Representative of the eNGO YES-Europe Malta from late 2022 to early 2024, where we created a platform to empower young people to create discourse about energy transition and sustainable policies and practices in the country.I was a Research & Innovation Executive (R&I) at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST). The R&I Unit manages national funds for R&I through the development and operation of programmes, which in turn, create vehicles for research across the public, academic and private sectors. I was responsible for executing the consultative, externalistaion, legal, financial and project monitoring processes for the FUSION; Research Excellence Programme (REP) and the FUSION; Technology Extension Support Programme (TESP).I previously worked as a Process Technologist in the medical cannabis industry, specialising in the research and development of extracting and purifying naturally-derived cannabinoids and APIs to implement into the product formulation stage.I attained a First Class Master of Science degree in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology from the University of York in 2021 and became an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2022. My MSc grade allows me to obtain my Chartered Chemist (CChem) status in 2025.
