I currently work as a Senior Software Engineer on Visualase. Visualase is a MRI-guided laser ablation therapy for minimally invasive surgery. I am responsible for the development of software which uses incoming MRI imagery to calculate thermal changes and estimate cell death in near real-time within the target tissue and control the laser during the application of the therapy. I also perform documentation, review, and testing of the Visualase software. I have also implemented and now maintain a system of CI (Continuous Integration) allowing for rapid and constant testing of the latest builds. I have contributed testing and documentation for multiple 510k submissions to the FDA. Additionally, I have worked on the development team and the test automation team on the next-generation StealthStation S8 project for surgical navigation.

I currently work as a software engineer consulting to GE Healthcare on their latest and most ambitious CT product, the Revolution CT scanner. I am developing, documenting, and verifying the next generation of CT image reconstruction technology. I am responsible for formulating and documenting design requirements. I use GPGPU solutions with C++ and OpenCL to design and implement image reconstruction algorithms for fast results and high image quality.

I employed GPUs to implement an image reconstruction algorithm with a 104x/GPU acceleration over our lab’s previous method while simultaneously improving image quality. I have experimented with compressed sensing techniques for more rapid data acquisition. As a Magnetic Resonance Research Technician, I coordinated research with my thesis advisor using GPGPU solutions and real-time image processing to improve MRI.

During this time I used my diverse database and programming skills in any positions that were available.

During my time at EdServ I was a lead Software Engineer for EdServ’s flagship database CRM (Customer Relationship Management) product. I used VB.NET, JavaScript, and SQL to create desktop applications that allowed technology vendors to bid for contracts directly with schools and hospitals that had requested filed applications for federal funding of the technology. My responsibilities included programming the desktop applications, database design, and network administration.

I started out designing and implementing the JTAG interface for Lucent Technology's DSP architectures. My division of Lucent Technology became Agere Systems where I served as a subsystem lead and integrator for the SC110 DSP.

I developed hardware design libraries by testing performance and incorporating the results into accurate simulations for system-level designs.
