Lead computational validation effort, including structural FEA, thermal transport, fluid simulations (CFD) and design studies with MS Excel. Structural analyses dealt with dissimilar metals and their changing properties with elevated temperatures. Flow simulations were utilized to drive design decisions which minimized backpressure and evenly distributed gases across substrates. Simulations of convection (both forced and natural) and radiation were employed in evaluating the heat rejection capabilities of various enclosure designs and their cooling systems.
