The Indiana Healthy Weight Initiative is a coalition that works to promote policy, systems, and environment changes that impact nutrition, physical activity, and obesity in Indiana. The IHWI is supported by volunteer experts from across Indiana that provide guidance and expertise in policy, data, engagement, and healthy schools.• Provide expert leadership and guidance to partners and organizations across the state with regard to policy, systems, and environment change in communities related to nutrition, physical activity, and obesity• Secure and manage funding including state grants ($24,000+), contracts ($5,000+), sponsorships ($5000+), and other sources.• Develop IHWI’s First Public Policy agenda and advocacy efforts. www.IndianaObesity.org/policy• Design and implement all IHWI events and programs serving more than 260 participants across Indiana• Develop, manage, and maintain all IHWI organizational partnerships with other local and state-wide organizations• Represent the IHWI with partners and with outside organizations and groups• Develop streamlined accounting processes for IPHA• Implement Indiana’s Comprehensive Nutrition and Physical Activity Plan 2010-2020.

Duties and Responsibilities• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all summer camp programs serving 50-100 children and 30-37 staff per week• Developed and managed a budget of over $100,000• Developed new summer camp programs and activities including a wilderness adventure camp, camp garden and a mountain bike trail• Engaged with community and church partners to increase camp enrollment and monetary support of camp programs• Developed and improved and tracked online registration and scholarship giving as well as developed and coordinated year round marketing initiatives• Managed Waycross’ Leadership Development Program• Developed reports on revenue and camper enrollment
