The company , at the time I joined , was called The Interface Group, owned by Sheldon Adelson. Although well known for the Computer tradeshow COMDEX(Computer Dealer Expo), Interface had numerous shows in multiple industries. After working in sales on Shows as diverse as Analytical Laboratory Expo (ALEX) , to a Square Dance Tradeshow, I started sales on the original COMDEX Show which was growing rapidly. I started the COMDEX Canada show in Toronto under a small group at The Interface Group and soon became Director of Sales for the COMDEX Fall event in Las Vegas, at the time, the largest Tradeshow in the United States. After Mr. Adelson sold the company to build the Venetian Hotel , I joined him in Las Vegas as the Director of Sales of his Tradeshow Group. After a year, I was promoted to Vice President of Sales for the Venetian Hotel and The Sands Expo and Convention Center, at the time the 3rd largest convention center in the country. As we expanded the company, I was again promoted to Vice President of Sales, LVS , and opened the properties in Macau , Singapore , and Pennsylvania. I continued to work on opportunities for LVS both in Vegas as we grew to the world's largest hotel with the addition of the Venezia and Palazzo Hotels attached , as well as around the globe with my focus on sales in the group and convention segment. (Also known in many areas of the world as MICE for meetings, incentives , conventions , and exhibitions)
