Rehabilitation Coordinator & Athletic Trainer
In his former role with the Revolution, Eric coordinated short-term and long-term rehabilitation programming for athletes including off-field and on-field soccer specific rehabilitation and reconditioning programs. Additionally, Eric was responsible for on-field medical care during MLS matches and training sessions including home and away competitions. He organized regular journal club education meetings with the Sports Medicine and Performance departments and had daily communication with the technical staff including Head Coach and Sporting Director, Bruce Arena. The New England Revolution are one of the original ten charter clubs of Major League Soccer (MLS) and currently play in the Eastern Conference with home games taking place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Revolution recently opened a state-of-the-art, $35 million soccer specific training center which houses the MLS team, the Revolution II (minor league team), and 4 youth Academy teams.

Athletic Trainer
While at Appalachian State, Eric was the Clinic Director of the Owen’s Field House Athletic Training Room which housed the University Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field, and Field Hockey programs. He oversaw the Sports Medicine Internship positions for the Athletics Department, taught in the Athletic Training Education program, and served as a Clinical Instructor. While at Appalachian State University, Eric founded and directed the Performing Arts Medicine program which provided medical coverage outreach and educational seminars to performing artists in the high country.Eric served as the acting Director of Athletic Training Services during the transition of the University from the SoCon to the Sunbelt Athletics Conference. This included oversight of the medical care of 450 student-athletes, a medical staff of 13 full-time Athletic Trainers operating out of 5 sports medicine facilities, a large operating budget, and inter-departmental communication between fitness & medical staffs.
Assistant Professor / Athletic Trainer
While at University of Lynchburg (then named Lynchburg College), Eric was the Athletic Trainer responsible for the Men’s Lacrosse and Field Hockey teams. He also served as an Assistant Professor in the Accredited Athletic Training Education Program where he taught numerous didactic, clinical, and research based classes and worked as a Clinical Instructor.

While at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Eric was an Athletic Trainer with the Women's Soccer and Men's & Women's Tennis programs. During his two years working with Head Coach, Anson Dorrance and the Women's Soccer team, the team won two NCAA national championships while producing five future World Cup winners and one future FIFA Women's Player of the Year. As part of his Graduate Assistantship responsibilities, Eric taught classes in the Exercise & Sports Science Department and conducted research under the direction of Dr. Bill Prentice and Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz.
