Lohmeyer Wastewater Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment SCADA systems, Fort Lauderdale, FLStaff Engineer – Westin designed the replacement system for the plant control system and the replacement of the water and wastewater treatment DCS/SCADA system. This design included eight local processing units and eleven personal computer-based operator stations communicating over a fiber optic data highway. Also, 144 remote terminal units located in the canal delivery and water collection systems communicate over a trunked radio system. I worked on the controls upgrade for the wastewater and water treatment facilities. My responsibilities included: complete design and implementation of control strategies and DCS graphics to meet specifications, instrumentation drawing design, system programming and software development, testing and start-up.
