I was the District Technology Coordinator / IT Director, for three school districts. District 256 is Preschool - 8th grade, District 302 is 9th-12th grades, and the Kankakee Area Special Education Cooperative. I took this job for the opportunity to build out multiple networks and roll out a 1:1 program. Every student in 3rd - 12th grade has their own.

At the end of June, 2012, I assumed the role of Help Desk Manager in addition to my other duties. I managed a team of five desktop support technicians that covered a ten building campus. I continued to manage the Cisco VoIP system and Cisco Infrastructure for the district that covers the entire WAN.

I managed the Cisco VoIP system with over 900 DID extensions. I built out and installed 300 of those extensions in two buildings. I also managed a Cisco WAN network and wireless infrastructure. I built out thin client labs with a VMWare back end. I worked with building admins to ensure their IT goals were being met. I coordinated with multiple vendors on.

I was a Level 3 help desk technician responding primarily to escalated tickets in a busy, dynamic environment. It was a great place to learn and gain experience in Educational IT.

I was the CIO and Partner of one of the largest internet based vehicle dealerships in the nation. We won awards from eBay for technical innovation and sales volume. I built and maintained the computer network that allowed our staff to achieve these milestones.

I was a solutions specialist for SOHO networks. I installed early WiFi solutions and small server based business networks. I was the highest volume sales person at my location every month I worked there, and I was in the top ten in the nation several times.
