It Specialist (Cyber Security)
Current• Monitor, run and review Nessus scans for vulnerabilities on servers and equipment.• Lead bi-weekly IT security team staff meeting, reviewing action items from previous meeting, status of Windows and third-party patches, as well as external (CISA) and internal (Nessus) scans.• Preform patch management, utilizing Kaseya to deploy needed patches across Windows servers, laptops, desktops, and network.• Stay abreast of industry trends involving activists/hacktivists via the CISA (Cyber Security & Infrastructure Security Agency) and FBI.• Set encryption and endpoint protection via the use of Sophos to prevent the use of unapproved peripheral device such as external hard drive and USB flash drives.• Create and manage user account in Active Directory.• Assign O365 licenses and apply email threat protection via AppRiver.• Deploy MFA across company devices utilizing SafeNet application on end-user desktops and laptops, as well as provisioning soft and physical tokens for end-users.• Enroll all new employees in Knowbe4 I.T. cyber security training.• Perform setup, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or upgrade of hardware, software, and associated peripherals.• Build and configure PC’s, load software, conduct audits for unlicensed software and security audits.• Assist end users via phone calls and or Track – IT ticketing system.
