Work with the Corporate EHS Manager to lead and implement EH&S programs and initiatives to ensure a safe, healthful working environment for all employees. I also continue to build a strong EH&S culture within the organization through teamwork and strong employee interaction. In addition, I continue to improve and manage aspects of safety, occupational health, environmental compliance, emergency management and incident response.Primary responsibilities include:Assist in the implementation of programs and policies created by Corporate EHS into the work sites; Perform compliance audits of work sites to ensure follow-up on corrective actions; Help to create and maintain tracking mechanisms for training records, company incentive programs, corporate EHS programs.; Participate as a member of the Corporate Safety committee and lead projects and initiatives developed by the committee; Collect and analyze facility safety data to identify trends. Develop and prepare reports to Management as appropriate or required;Help to implement the company’s accident investigation program by assisting in investigations to determine root cause(s). Review supervisors’ incident reports for accuracy and recommends appropriate actions. Coordinate and conduct safety training for employees; Prepare information on various safety subjects to be used by local management in regularly scheduled meetings; Maintain regulatory records and update EHS programs to comply with applicable regulations. Inspect all of the fire extinguishers on the property monthly to ensure they are in complete working condition and have not been tampered with or discharged. Conduct contractor orientations explaining the safety policies and procedures that must be upheld. Determine the best evacuation route for employees to follow in case of an emergency. Update evacuation maps as needed due to changes made on the property.
