Current1) Document Translation-Industry Software:•Computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools •Terminology management programs•Server-based management systems for project, contractor and client information•Compatibility and interactions among server-based management systems•Interactions between CAT tools and management systems2) Document Company Processes and Procedures:•Contractor processes, including translation and transcreation; copy-editing, proofreading and revision; multilingual quality assurance; terminology management•Standard Translation-Department procedures, including contractor technical support; project and contractor management; customer service and account management; terminology storage and maintenance; translation memory creation and management3) Develop Translation Department Training:•Based on software and process documentation, create original training materials in text, image and audiovisual formats•Integrate new content with existing materials•Create an official Translation Department training manual •Organize and deliver training sessions to Department employees •Track and maintain all Department training content4) Develop Linguist Contractor Training:•Based on software and process documentation, create tailored training materials for Translation and Quality Assurance roles•Circulate information on general usage, software interactions, and best practices5) Provide Tier 2 Technical Support:•Diagnose and resolve support requests from contractors and staff•Test and troubleshoot CAT tool and project-management software•Test and troubleshoot translation portals for Client, Contractor and Project Manager roles6) Facilitate Process Improvement and Change Management Initiatives: •Report inefficiencies in Translation Department processes•Consult on development of change proposals •Draft transitional documentation and training materials•Organize and deliver employee training•Integrate new procedures with previous documentation
