• Employed with the Assets and Security Management Directorate, Agency Security Division as Lead, Physical Security, responsible leading the Physical Security Program for the Agency.• Provide technical advice necessary for the implementation of Procedures, Guidelines, Post Orders, Training.• Assist with evaluating client needs for new or modified security systems and products to determine feasibility, time frames and compatibility with current systems.• Assist with policies, procedures, and regulations that may affect physical security expectations at client’s offices and project sites.• Assist in the design, planning, implementation, assessment, and management of access control systems, digital video surveillance systems, CCTV (Closed-circuit television), building security, building automation, and physical intrusion detection systems.• Assist with information and decision-making systems that encompass diverse technologies including, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, streaming video, data, voice, wireless, sensors, door hardware.• Assist in performing detailed and technical analysis of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and help integrate cyber security solutions. • Employed with Agency Security Division (ASD) as a Senior Investigator with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), responsible for managing, conducting Administrative Investigations and Security investigations, both as a lead and in a team setting.• Completed numerous project case files ranging from complex contract and procurement breaches, fraud, misuse of government assets, such as GC Acquisition Cards, IT networks and computers. Investigations have led to successful completions with achieving positive results. • supported CFIA Personnel Security Screening Unit by conducting Resolution of Doubt and Review for Cause interviews.• Provided sound guidance and coordination assistance with other GC departments. This was demonstrated during an event in which we facilitated the extraction of CFIA employees from outside Canada. This was accomplished in part because of my knowledge base of other government departments, and network of like-minded security practitioners.• Frequently brief and provide advice to CFIA senior management (President, VP’s, Executive Directors, etc) on matters relating to security and investigations.• Participated in and represented the ASD in the renewal process for Agency’s Fraud Prevention Policy (FPP) in support to the Fraud Risk Management Program. My efforts to this initiative included the completion of the Risk Assessment in supporting the Management Response Action Plan, and contribution to the development of training scenarios. I provided significant guidance and articulation to the re-write of the Policy, which included the drafting of the Fraud definition which was adopted and promulgated.• Participated in and contributed to many facets of our Directorate, such as support to the annual Management Accountability Framework (MAF), Agency Security Plan, Security Policies Review, Business Continuity Policy, Resource Evaluation board, Security Awareness Week committee, just to name a few.
