I was a Power System Operator Trainee who was responsible for insuring the reliability of 25kv-69kv lines for commercial and industrial consumers in the Kingman, Arizona area. I worked with SCADA screens in the control center to monitor the electrical grid for the local footprint. In the event of power outages, I dispatched line crews to restore power to those consumers affected. I was also responsible for writing switching orders for scheduled planned outages as well as emergency outages.

Williston, North Dakota

I worked in the Dispatch office, insuring the reliability of the electrical grid in the Mountrail and Williams County service area. I monitored SCADA screens to insure distribution loads of 25kv line as well as 69kv-115kv transmission lines which fed nearly 7,000 industrial and commercial consumers. In the event of power outages, I dispatched line crews, and worked in conjunction with those crews to remotely restore power to any affected consumers. I was also responsible for writing switching orders for any planned outages that were scheduled to enhance the build out of the electrical grid.
