As part of the Schlumberger team, I was the laboratory supervisor for the Shreveport facility. I was responsible for managing the laboratory and laboratory personnel. Over the course of my tenure with the company worked up to a level three technician in charge of the district laboratory in Shreveport. My experiences at Schlumberger were numerous and my job duties changed significantly over time as I grew with the company. Some of my duties included managing laboratory tests for multi million-dollar contracts, onsite testing support, maintaining equipment and calibration records, building personnel schedules, maintaining inventory for the laboratory, and being personally responsible for products being pumped on location.

As a recreation specialist for the LCRA my duties included: guiding a raft full of participants down the Colorado River in Bastrop, belaying for a rock wall, and educating participants on the ecosystems and wildlife of the surrounding park. This was a physically challenging job that kept me outside in the Texas sun all day during the summer.
