Process Engineer for Sweeper (Vacuum) Belts, FDA IMS White Product, and Continuous Cure departments. Position also includes assisting in production supervision and serving as backup Production Manager for the three departments. Currently in process of transitioning towards Manager of our Sweeper Belt Lab. Roles and responsibilities include:-Setup and scale-up of new products to meet established requirements and expectation-Manage production equipment, including modifications and new process equipment, working with Maintenance department-Optimizing department products and processing for efficiency and quality, maximizing machine uptime and reducing scrap and rejection rates-Manage and oversee material trials and changes in the process, working with Materials Manager-Resolve quality non-conformances, both internal and external. Root cause analysis and corrective actions, working with Quality department-Backup Production Manager, which includes management of personnel on all shifts, production scheduling, and other Supervisory responsibilities.-Member of ISO 9001 Internal Audit Team

Now Hexpol Compounding. Development Chemist responsible for all technical needs of assigned customer accounts. The responsibility is for all technical-related matters from start to finish of the rubber mixing process. This includes compound development and testing, raw material selection, quality improvement, mixing consistency, quoting, and on-site customer technical support. Work in tandem with our sales team for New Business Development of new opportunities. Inter-site cooperation for site consolidation and sharing of technical expertise. Customers located across the US, Canada, Mexico, and several other foreign countries. Technical understanding includes knowledge of almost all commercial elastomers, their mixing, compound design, color compounding, and end-use processing, particularly extrusion. Involved in company-wide projects including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025. Responsible for regulatory reporting such as RoHS, REACH, IMDS, Prop 65, FDA, EPA, etc.

1 on 1 tutor in mathematics and math-related subjects such as physics, statistics, programming, and computer skills.

Now Cooper Standard ISG. Exposure to higher level engineering involved in rubber extrusion and processing. Work included direct interaction with production operators and other engineering staff to solve unknown issues in manufacturing, specifically in terms of quality, process conditions, and material problems. Further understanding of elastomer material science and modern industrial technologies. Soft skills include managing personal and team projects, effective internal and external communication.

Now Hexpol Compounding. Technical experience in a ISO 17025 certified testing laboratory as a rubber compounder. Position included manufacturing optimization and troubleshooting, along with providing technical service both on-site and off-site. Helped reduce scrap, improve testing accuracy, and network with both customers and suppliers.

Now Cooper Standard ISG. As part of the Research and Development team, the position includes developing compounds, processes, and parts to be used in production. Tasks include shadowing engineers throughout the plant to learn every step of the extrusion process, individual projects in compound development and improvement, as well as general engineering tasks.

Stockroom worker in charge of the freshmen chemistry labs. Daily tasks included preparing laboratory experiments, maintaining bulk compounds and equipment, and cleaning lab space and materials.
