-Serve as the principle advisor to the Commanding Officer on all matters relating to the squadron's operations, maintenance, and personnel. -Fulfill the duties of F/A-18D Pilot and Operations Officer IAW the Commanding Officer's orders and directives.-Supervise the publishing and execution of the squadron's daily flight schedule. -Supervise the planning and implementation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual aircrew and ground training plans; ensuring appropriate coordination with the Maintenance Department occurs in all phases of planning and execution.-Supervise the coordination of squadron movements for deployments.-Shape/guide execution of the squadron FY18/98 Training Exercise Employment Plan. -Ensure that the squadron is trained to meet the requirements of the VMFA(AW) Mission Essential Task List (METL) as stated in NAVMC 3500.50B (FA-18 T&R Manual), with an emphasis on tasks required in support of ongoing operations and likely OPLANs/CONPLANs. -Supervise the accurate and timely submission of the monthly Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS-MC) report.
