-Advise company commanders on the suitability of targets as objectives for aircraft, types of aircraft best suited for particular missions, and on marking of targets and front-line positions.-Arrange air support missions by contacting aviation units and providing number and type of aircraft needed, target information, armament desired, and time of attack.-Direct and control aircraft on a support mission by radio communication from a forward position, as well as observe and report the results of strikes.-Serve as an action officer/OPT lead as directed by the Operations Officer.-Serve as Battalion Laser Safety Officer and primary Officer in Charge/Range Safety Officer for aviation training.-Conduct training of proper TTPs for fire support coordination.
