I am an Industrial Engineer and Artificial Intelligence (AI) research scientist with a D.Sc., specializing in energy and sustainability. My expertise lies in applying AI to optimize energy systems and address sustainability challenges. I have a strong publication record, with research featured in leading journals such as Energy and the International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control.I completed an Industrial-based Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at a Finnish Energy Start-up (Funded by the Finnish Cultural Foundation), where I collaborated with experts to develop AI-driven upper-level control systems, optimizing district heating and heat pumps to reduce environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency.I have previously acted as a reviewer in the area of AI in CO2 Capture and Storage in the Journal of CO2 Utilization and Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering.In addition to research, I have experience as an Adjunct Lecturer at Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Finland, where I have mentored over 150 international students.
