-Co-founder (one of two) of High-Tech. Firm engaged in Design, Manufacture, Production, Sales & Service of sophisticated Computer Vision systems for international manufacturing companies, particularly in the Display Industry. Customers included Philips, Sony, LG, Samsung, Daewoo.-Was instrumental in growing the company from a few employees to over 200 employees, including the establishment of multiple international service and support offices with several employees in each remote office.-Helped grow the business from $100's of thousands of dollars in annual revenue to $30 million annually.-Participated in the process where the company went from private ownership, through private placements on the CDN, leading to going public on the then-TSE. After being TSE-listed for 5 years our company was sold/merged with a Silicon Valley company and the combined entity was listed on the NASDAQ exchange.-IPS was recognized by Profit 100 as one of Canada's fastest growing companies, as well as winning the Canada Export Award.-I was the hands-on “make-it-happen” person responsible for new product development, introduction, and initial customer acceptance. Initially I was the sole hardware and software designer, and ultimately I managed and directed multi-disciplinary teams in the creation of our firm's new products.-In addition to management, I continued to be actively involved in actual hardware and software design and coding of portions of the systems that we created.-Systems designed included all system elements including custom-designed cameras, all processing electronics and software as well as complex electro-mechanical systems.-Gained experience managing hardware development projects employing a wide range of Processors, including x86, 68000, 320C80, 68HC11 and Atmel micro- controllers.-Software systems developed under my supervision utilized computer languages including C, C++, and various assembler languages.
