Contributed to the development of EdSurvey, an R package for the analysis of National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) education survey and assessment data. Contributions included writing new class methods, optimizing processes in C, CRAN submissions and maintaining the public facing GitHub repository. The package is currently under review for JOSS. Designed an ETL data pipeline that maintains a database of Digest Tables for Common Core Education Data using Airflow, MySQL and Python. The pipeline modernized the production of these tables, which were previously produced with SAS and excel files.Designed a model with XGBoost to identify outliers in the civil rights data collection (CRDC). The model results were presented to Office of Civil Rights and highlighted instances of misreporting in the survey.Helped develop the Nevada Climate Survey Automated Reports, an automated R-markdown process that produces 700 508-compliant PDF data reports, containing various tables and visuals. Led a small team in operationalizing the report code – reorganizing code, improving automation and dockerizing processes. Developer on InCompass, a free online RShiny app that provides a modern user interface to the EdSurvey R package and is well-suited for exploring and analyzing international large-scale assessment (ILSA) data.

Designed a model to assist in the detection of anomalous blood pressures taken from less accurate electronic devices using National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data. Predictions from the model provided baseline estimate to assess whether an observed in-office blood pressure was valid or not.
