• As a Senior Structural Engineer involved in the assessment, design and detailing of existing Port Facility Infrastructure to accommodate mechanical modifications to improve product throughput as part of the Inner.
• Where required, modular panels and frames where designed and detailed to help minimise site construction activity.
• Assessment of existing foundations, generally piled due to marine soil conditions, where required design and detail of additional piles and pile cap to resolve loading issues.
• Site visits to verify the status of existing drawings and models with as-built conditions of existing structures. This was also important from the standpoint of constructability of proposed mechanical changes.

• As a Senior Strucutral Engineer in the study to help determine the impact of proposed mechanical modifications to improve product through put at BHPIO Port Facility at Port Hedland as part of the Inner Harbour.
• Due to limited time and budget, the project was undertaken at a rapid pace. The estimated quantities derived based on the assessment was complied and reports prepared to enable the estimator to document and prepare.

• As a Senior Structural Engineer for the BHPIO Billiton RPG6 Project assigned with the task of designing and detailing various port infrastructure as part of the Rapid Growth Project 6.Key attributes of the project:
• Modularisation of key infrastructure such as conveyor belt take-up towers GTU, transfer stations, stair towers etc to help minimise site construction which lessened potential safety issues and overall costs.
• Assessment of transportation loads due to road and sea.
• Lifting study assessment and design.
• New Car Dumper CD5 at Finucane Island, Port Hedland– reinforced concrete vault constructed in an excavated pit. Ground water forces on the structure and its design implications for buoyancy, wall design and.
• FEA modelling and assessment of car dumper reinforced concrete vault.
