Tended bar at a speciality cocktail and craft beer establishment where there was a realemphasis on community and the neighbourhood. Working with Mosaic North America allowed me to represent and promote a variety of leading technology, food and beverage companies. From working with huge brands like Samsung, Crown Royal, Budweiser, Rogers, and Pan Am at different large-scale events such as music festivals, national sporting events, conventions and product launches, I gained a ton of in field marketing and branding experience. This position requires me to learn everything about a product in a short amount of time, and relay key messages to potential consumers in fun and engaging ways. With my jump to Team Lead on a few activations, I was also required to be in a leadership position, having to motivate coworkers and provide effective guidance to my team. Relaying metrics and information about events to clients and management is also a key responsibility.

In my short time at Rogers, I was able to climb to being the top consumer and corporate sales rep – consistently beating my sales targets. I was required to sell a variety of mobile phone, cable, internet, home phone, and home security packages. Additionally, I was solely responsible for monitoring the competition's offers/pricing and relaying changes to my sales team. I was chosen to be the head of accessories and merchandising, which included updating merchandising / in-store displays based upon direction from the retail marketing department, as well as receiving inventory and making sure it was put out in an appealing fashion on the sales floor.

My position with Bar Wellington was an all-encompassing one - I was a server, food runner, barback, host and busser all in one. Was required to not only greet customers and find seating for them, but also took and delivered orders, which really helped me build on my interpersonal and conversational skills. I always made sure to offer suggestions of my favourites and upsold menu items to ensure that my guests had the best and most delicious experience possible.

At Bath and Body Works, I really had to learn the products inside and out. It taught me how to sell, especially by using product knowledge, personal preferences, and by asking the consumer qualifying questions. I was required to greet customer, answer and queries, recommend our store's products, and even provide some demonstrations. In the merchandising side of the store, I had to receive stock and organize the back room constantly. I was part of the merchandising ("floor set") team, so every couple weeks, I would stay after the mall closed to configure in store merchandising displays. I was also required to work the register, and occasionally open and close the store. I worked an average of 30 hours per week while being a full-time university student, so time management was of the essence, and I really had to stay on top of both my school and work responsibilities.

For three summers, I planned and executed an entire day camp. This included development of weekly program plans for my campers, budgeting, meal preparation, family events, field trips and childcare. I also needed to communicate daily with parents, and write progress reports for camp management.

Stationed at the Guest Services desk at the Toronto Zoo, I was responsible for providing recommendations to visitors and answering their questions, which dealing with demands, complaints, and membership sales. In addition, I worked as a cashier with responsibility to balance a till and manage a float.
