• Principal engineer on ESM project including the implementation of the JESM specification for web service metrics collection over JUM, and periodic SLA verification using Quartz.• Lead engineer supporting the development and acceptance of the DDMS (Department of Defense Meta Data Specification) for use within the IC to markup document and resource metadata.• Lead engineer for HP/DIA contract to research, document, and deploy HP SOA Systinet suite of tools within the DIA to support UDDI based web service / resource publication and management.• Senior engineer on the EADS project developing JavaScript data visualization tools to display complex relationships of entities in a digestible manner to the user directly within the web browser.• Supported the development of Java object to relational DB mappings used by all parts of the EADS code base via Hibernate to speed development time.

• Note that ManTech acquired McDonald Bradley.• Supported the development and enhancement of the Automated Metadata Population Service (AMPS) to enhance the availability of discoverable metadata throughout the Air Force.• Implemented Open Office replacement using Apache POI for document text parsing. Cut AMPS overall document processing time in half, reduced app size by 400 Mb, reduced compile time from 10min to 1.5min, increased user throughput, and increased overall system stability. Finally designed and implemented Windows/Linux (64/32bit) AMPS deployment package for use by customer.

• The specific tasks below were part of a large DoD / DNI effort to make available near real time data from any number of data sources / agencies in a central GUI for use by data analysts.• Technical lead for the push to integrate CIA WIRe and LNI into the ICDL framework. Designed, implemented, and deployed code that extracts historical and new DDMS records into the ICDL.• Designed and developed code base to enable the quick addition of data sources to our data aggregating framework.• Developed a GWT web app to control indexing and other state of data sources feeding our framework. Tool also reported important metrics on indexing progress and other important failures.• Implement code and logic needed to pull all historical data from any data source added to the ICDL framework. This is needed to populate indexing software to speed up data retrieval.

• Acted as a component technical lead overseeing all work related to application integration and deployment.• Designed and developed a custom data migration utility for the Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA) project to replace a commercial tool that was found to be too limited in capabilities. • Designed and developed app to tie together the functionality and deployment of the IMSMA client and server applications. • Implemented a large subset of the IMSMA client-side application. Worked to provide detailed documentation on GUI functionality and design.• Worked as a developer on the Web Service visualization team. Researched and deployed JUDDI web service server and created proof-of-concept tool to publish WSRP WSDLs to said UDDI server.

• Wrote Java package to convert between approximately 100 units of measure commonly used within the oil industry. • Wrote Java (POI / HSSF) utilities to parse data from Excel spreadsheets to streamline the migration of data stored within Excel files to Oracle databases.
