Protect life and property from fire, provide basic and advanced emergency medical care, operate as a hazardous materials technician, and public education programs. Maintain fire equipment, apparatus, and stations. Attend training as required, also write and present training as requested by company officer.

Provides supervision of operations and enlisted personnel within the Force Health Protection Operation Section (FHPOS) and the activities of the medical logistics, medical operations, preventative medicine, and mental health sections; supervises the overall planning and execution of all FHP activities performed by the assigned or attached subordinate units within the battalion area of operation (AO), to include deliberate and crisis planning;principal advisor to the commander for all enlisted operational planning and execution of FHP functions in support of the medical units in the MMB AO

Have served in many positions throughout the years. I began in the Infantry as a machine gunner and acted as the company medic. Moved on to battalion as a medic and then off to aviation as a UH-60 Black Hawk Mechanic and Flight Medic. I was then assigned to the State Medical Detachment were I moved up in the ranks very quickly from Sergeant (E5) to Master Sergeant (E8) in a period of 4 years. I became the first Combat Education Coordinator for the Michigan National Guard in 2005. Transferred to a medical unit in Ypsilanti, MI where I am currently at the battalion level. I have deployed to Kosovo as a flight medic and Afghanistan as a Combat Advisor.
