It was great largely due to Eric's excellent management. Eric is a fantastic manager because he doesn't treat his employee's like another number or worker, he takes time to get to know you, and he allows you to know him on a personal level, so it feels like your working with an old friend instead of "the boss". One of the things I appriciated most about Eric as well was that he used to be a technician like the rest of the team he now leads, and the advantage of that was two fold. First he unsterstood the job, and the technologies that we worked with daily, so we have a boss that has an intimate understanding of the job, and would give us sage advice on how to best complete or attack the challenge ahead of us. Second: he also understood the unique challenges presented at a college, especially when dealing with staff and other departments, and you always know the he has your back if a conflict ever arose, he always stood by his staff, and both of these traits are rare qualities that made him excellent in his Job. Eric was also never afraid to get his hands dirty, if the team needed help, he was right there to jump in and help finish off a job. I really enjoyed working for him and would welcome the opportunity to work with him again."
