CurrentEric Carlson, one of the founding partners of RevoluSun Smart Home, serves as Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, Eric seeks out and advances new products and services, pioneering the solar and smart home market into the next stage of its evolution.Having served as the company’s Marketing Director from the foundation, Eric has developed a brand associated with integrity and professionalism. Through his guidance, RevoluSun became Hawaii’s leading residential solar system integrator and SunPower’s 2011 and 2012 Residential Top Producer of the Year, as well as SunPower’s 2011 Top Commercial Producer of the Year.In addition to Eric’s expertise on the marketing front, he is strongly rooted in the building industry. A journeyman carpenter and then a residential and commercial construction project manager. Eventually Eric took on the role of general manager for a local construction company, where he oversaw work on high-quality residential and commercial building projects. Through the course of 18 years, Eric worked on hundreds of custom designed homes, light commercial buildings, schools, churches and industrial projects.Prior to co-founding RevoluSun, he developed a passion for renewable energy and sustainable living through his experience in solar sales as the number one salesperson for Hawaii’s then-largest solar design/build energy firm. He was part of a small, inside-team that grew the company’s revenue from $3 million, in 2007, to over $33 million, in 2008. During this time, he was responsible for hundreds of onsite residential consultations, including the design and construction of ‘grid-tied’ PV systems and thermal hot water systems throughout Oahu. Eric also developed a number of commercial PV systems on Oahu and received the company’s Top Performing Energy Consultant Award for 2008.Eric is also Vice President of Business Development for RevoluSun Solar Corp., RevoluSun’s franchise entity operating in high growth PV markets in broader North America.
