The team provides full-service underwriting and risk management support for eight commercial lenders in the upstate with aggregate commercial portfolio exposure of over $750mm. Delegate and level-load tasks, advise underwriters on complex policy navigation, and act as the local point for interpreting and applying BB&T's credit culture. Portfolios represent banking relationships across a variety of industry and business segments including both C&I and CRE exposure. Credit products supported by the team's underwriting include construction, temporary, and permanent funding via term loans, revolving lines, credit commitments, guidance lines, visas, letters of credit and ACH lines. New credit underwriting tasks include financial statement analysis, market and industry research, Moody's Risk Origins risk grading, structure and pricing recommendations, BSA/AML and OFAC scrubs, credit investigation, credit policy exceptions, and credit approval negotiation. Maintenance of the existing exposure includes annual risk rating reviews, credit line or term loan renewals, ACH renewals, financial statement monitoring, and covenant compliance testing consistent with loan agreement and/or policy requirements. Coordinate response and negotiation with internal loan audit partners. Special project participation includes quarterly CCAR data collection and reporting, HVCRE reporting.

Worked jointly with specialists and product reps to identify and close cross-selling opportunities across the commercial and personal banking platforms. Represented BB&T to the market through work with the local Rotary, Chamber, United Way, and Leadership Pickens County.

Expanded the business banking portfolio assigned to the Haywood Road area from $8MM to $25MM. Supported five branches with business banking representation via joint calls, opportunity identification, cross-sell ideas, and relationship growth. Supported community outreach programs with the Greenville Chamber, Leadership Greenville in 2004/5, and United Way as a Loaned Executive and internal campaign leader.

Congaree Rd., Greenville Sc

Bought, managed, and sold the business successfully. Hired, fired, trained, incented and scheduled 15 associates and shift managers. Grew revenue by 140%, including the successful development of an event catering program, and managed financial turnaround from a 3% net loss to 15% net income. Produced and filed all monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns and financials. Sold business for nearly double the purchase price.
