My team helps develop new machinery for customers looking to add automation to their packaging lines. We currently follow the IEC 61131-3 standard for our PLC programming and work directly with the customer to build custom factory equipment for them. I help on the design side by prototyping new ideas, testing for robustness, documenting findings, and developing procedures to shift prototype machines into a production environment. Our equipment uses high voltage servomotors, VFDs, induction motors, pneumatic and electric actuators, among other things.
