Portfolio Manager
CurrentManage a $15+ million small cap (market cap less than $15 billion) stock portfolio for a family office. I am responsible for identifying suitable publicly-traded investment candidates, conducting due diligence on those candidates, and preparing written reports to document my rationale for investing in portfolio companies. I use a proprietary valuation model to value potential portfolio companies, and a company is not added to the portfolio unless they are selling at a substantial discount to what I perceive to be their intrinsic value. The portfolio is relatively concentrated in that we own between 10-20 companies, and our average holding period for each company is between 4-6 years. The portfolio is long-only and we typically invest in companies that are in a cyclical trough or have some other transitory issues affecting their current operating performance.
