Integrated Engineering student at the University of British Columbia. Have 3 years of prior experience at the UBC Mining Engineering program as well. Primarily focused on Computer/Electrical/Mining and Environmental Engineering courses. During my time in the Mining Engineering program I got to work as a public speaking rep for the UBC team at the Canadian mining games. Where I was also the primary excel and CAD tech for both the innovation and Underground Mine Design sub teams.As an engineering student I've focused on leadership responsibilities where possible and participated in many design projects both as a leader and team member; I've worked on low frequency communications hardware and software for the UBC Rover design team, as well as being an active member of the Algae Bioreactor design team that is currently ongoing. I've also participated in multiple 24 and 48 hour hack-a-thons at UBC, hoping to take first place one day soon.On the software side I've spent 3 years at the UBC Game Development club for some fun work, 2 years as a team leader, and a third year as VP Team Leads. In my first year as a team leader we won the year end award for Best Concept, and In my second year with a new and larger team of 24 members we won both the Best Concept and Best Visuals awards at year end. In my current year as VP Team Leads, I'm responsible for selecting team leader candidates and working with team leads throughout the year to ensure their team projects remain on track and that they have a working demo to give come the year end showcase.
