My goal isn't to just deliver training, but to deliver users that know how to use a feature and why. This way they can solve operational problems and deliver value to the companies they work for.The power of the training team is that it spends more time in direct interaction with the customers than any other role, which allows us to directly impact the enablement and adoption of SL1.

This involved managing all aspects of the training engagement, including pre-engagement calls, setting expectations, determining customer requirements, fitting the training agenda to meet those requirements, and post-engagement handoff. These training engagements took me across the US and to 10 countries. The common thing in all that training was our awesome customers and the fun times we had learning the ScienceLogic platform. Starting in 2012, myself and 2 others created the ScienceLogic Certified Professional and Expert program. This comprised 6 days of Instructor-Led training and two certification tests to establish competency with the ScienceLogic SL1 product. This certification program has been very successful and becomes a standard offering to our customers and internal employees.I was responsible for evaluating the existing material, meeting with Product Managers to determine how upcoming features would impact existing training, and managing the lab system environment that supported our hand-on learning exercises. This comprised of 24 servers initially, but grew to 72 in total.
