About Eric Champoux
Artiste-peintre et concepteur d’éclairage; après des études collégiales en Arts Plastiques, alors jeune artiste-peintre, il cherche à mieux comprendre la lumière dans le but unique de parfaire son rapport à la peinture. Ce qui le mène à l’École Nationale de Théâtre du Canada au milieu des années 90 où il deviendra par la force des choses, Concepteur d’Éclairage de scène. Tout en gravant ses nouvelles connaissances et cette nouvelle compréhension à sa peinture, et en élaborant des compositions lumineuses comme il compose ses tableaux, la photographie apparait alors comme un médium incontournable. C'est alors que la lumière révèle une nature rude et magnifique autant que des corps mystérieux et touchant de beauté, aussi bien sur canvas que sur scène.
