Leadership and Training: Applied training standards and led training on the proper technique of rigging and hooking up of the M119A2 howitzer to prepare it for sling loading. Supervision and Direction: Supervised the activities of six personnel, leading by example and providing for their training, welfare, safety, and development to ensure the highest level of readiness. Iraq Deployment: Served as the Battle Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) for Future Operations Division III Corps in support of United States Forces in Iraq (USF-I), a four-star Joint HQ. Ensured the readiness and accountability of more than $50K worth of equipment.Afghanistan Deployment: Led eight-man Infantry Maneuver Squad in the Nuristan Province, Afghanistan and accounted for the operation and maintenance of more than $500K in assigned equipment. Served as Platoon Sergeant in his absence; led 13 security personnel on 167 mounted and dismounted combat patrols.Security and Safety Support: Served as Observation Post Operations Leader for 40 days, providing observer fire support for Maneuver Platoon, Nuragram district center and Forward Operating Base Kalagush.
