About Eric Charles

Organizations thrive in the long term when they successfully support their workforce. Mission driven organizations, such as federal agencies, face particular challenges with human capital management. Solid personnel selection, workforce planning, and an HR that reflect the organization’s core values can significantly improve an agency’s ability to accomplish its mission. I lead a team within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Human Capital Data Management and Modernization (HCDMM) that is focused on creating data dashboards that support data-driven personnel, staffing, and position-management decisions throughout the federal government. This builds off of my prior experience supporting workforce planning at the DEA and DCSA, and supporting selection and classification within U.S. Marine Corps. This role combines skills I developed during my time leading cross-disciplinary academic research teams with the business acumen and political savvy developed through the Key Executive MPA program. CORE COMPETENCIESLeading research-driven organizational change, scientific research from conception to publication, short/long range strategic planning, program management, staff management, team building, advanced statistical skills and software mastery, advanced research design skills, presentation development, instructional design, policy analysis and revision, multi-tasking in high pressure situations with ambiguous priorities and deadlines. SPSS, Stata, SAS, R, NVivo, Qualtrics, NetLogo.

Listed skills include Research, Qualitative Research, Statistics, Spss, and 45 others.
