This position was held at several different plants, Flint, MI; Arlington, TX. When I started with Lear it was as a shipping and receiving supervisor and worked my way up the corporate ladder. I specialized in lean manufacturing and plant start-ups. My responsibilities included system set-up for customer and suppliers; Material layout, delivery systems and part storage along with working out a shipping method. Reduced monthly/ATR’s by changing ordering cycles and standard packs. Reduced company overhead substantially by adding milk runs and changing trucking lanes. Developed and Execute setting up service parts and delivery methods along with packaging and pricing. Often called upon to other plants to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions within their material departments. Directly responsible for 3 individual new plant startups which were very successful launches without interruptions, despite the fact they were drastically behind in the planning/development stages. Responsible for managing salary and team members, in both a union and non-union environment. Involved in Kaizen events to help improve process and material flow.
