Planning for and executing four (almost consecutive) overseas deployments, a biennial multi-agency security exercise, and a major operational standby - all within the span of half a year, took teamwork and resolve. In tackling the twin challenges of maintaining responder fitness and proficiency, as well as sustaining community interest in picking up preparedness skills, Falconites’ Challenge - an Olympics-styled challenge for amateur and professional responders, was conceptualised.
