And also providing guidance on decision-making for major issues related to the execution and delivery of the projects; assisting site team in the performance of more difficult and complex field inspection and resolving such problems that arises, providing direction through work plans and ensuring the goals and objectives set by the management are met. Play a key role in the management team by contributing ideas in project planning, budgeting and other general management issues. Often my duties include mentoring, training and guiding project managers in project and construction management duties.• Involved in conceptual stage discussion and provide input for technical specification.• Handle project management from Pre-Contract until execution stage.• Implementation of project S.O.P• Attending projects meeting and with authorities.• Review selection of contractors and access their strength with Contract manager before presenting letter of award.• Guide subordinates in securing various approvals from relevant agencies and liaise with authority.• Discuss and work together with COO on project planning, specifications and costing to ensure project is completed within allocated time, cost and quality.• Review the work from architectural consultants as well as other consultants and further fine-tuning of design development.• Identify any potential loopholes or issues in the project and take preventive action including apply appropriate management strategies.• Appointing and forming contracts for Consultants, Architect, NSCs and NSs• lead staffs in project management and resolve any complicated technical issues with the relevant team.• Assess and approve Consultant's payment.• Guiding procurement and QS in value engineering, price negotiation and contract award. Construction Inspection Functions Supervises and performs complex construction inspection of projects during construction to ensure conformance to contract documents, codes, ordinances, approved plans, calculations, and specifications, using appropriate safety precautions; investigates complaints; interprets codes; reports violations and hazardous conditions and orders corrections; notifies employer and contractors of required changes and performs re-inspections; distributes daily inspection requests; and advises and provides technical information to the public, developers, engineers, and contractors regarding construction practices and principles. Administrative Functions Conducts regular review meetings with Client and progress meetings with contractors; recommends improvements for construction documents and procedures; updates construction procedures and assists in clarification of standard specifications and details; prepares manpower planning showing Project PM Section engineer’s deployment needed to carry out the works; reviews plans and specifications for the purpose of conducting construction inspection work; prepares records, reports, and correspondence, which may include negotiating change orders, complaints, referrals, and investigation.
