Construction Inspection Functions Supervises and performs complex construction inspection of projects during construction to ensure conformance to contract documents, codes, ordinances, approved plans, calculations, and specifications, using appropriate safety precautions; investigates complaints; interprets codes; reports violations and hazardous conditions and orders corrections; notifies employer and contractors of required changes and performs re-inspections; distributes daily inspection requests; and advises and provides technical information to the public, developers, engineers, and contractors regarding construction practices and principles. Administrative Functions Conducts regular review meetings with Client and progress meetings with contractors; recommends improvements for construction documents and procedures; updates construction procedures and assists in clarification of standard specifications and details; prepares manpower planning showing Project PM Section engineer’s deployment needed to carry out the works; reviews plans and specifications for the purpose of conducting construction inspection work; prepares records, reports, and correspondence, which may include negotiating change orders, complaints, referrals, and investigation.
