Collaborated with Ford Motor Company's Special Vehicles Team (SVT), Extrude Hone, & University of Pittsburgh on an NSF funded project to apply advanced manufacturing processes to the manufacturing of automobile engines. The goal was to increase gas mileage while simultaneously increasing horsepower. Managed undergraduate research activities at the Center for Nontraditional Manufacturing Research. Led over 2 years of testing and troubleshooting for a prototype acoustic emission monitoring system for Abrasive Flow Machining resulting in a University patent and multiple publications. Co-authored peer reviewed journal papers and presented at international research conferences.
