I have always had an affinity for experiencing new things and have worked hard to ensure success at those experiences. As such, I was successful at obtaining honors throughout high school, all while maintaining a part-time job. This has led me to MacEwan University where I am currently enrolled as a third-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce degree.Thus far in my student and workforce journey, I have never faltered in actualizing the goals that I have set out for myself. An example of this can be seen through my work at Chop Steakhouse during the NHL 2020 Edmonton Stanley Cup Playoff Bubble. Although I began with the company as a dishwasher, I worked hard and was quickly promoted to a line cook working alongside and assisting Red Sealed chefs. They then specifically chose me to be one of three staff from that restaurant to work with them in “the bubble”. This speaks largely to my work ethic, adaptability, skill, and ability to work well with others in order to get quality work done even under pressure. I am confident that I will bring great value and experience to any position that I obtain in the future. Having worked hard to exceed my goals at such a young age has made me realize that I can and will continue to work hard in order to achieve great things in my future. Although I hope to graduate from MacEwan with an Accounting degree, I do plan to go on in order to follow through with my goal of becoming a lawyer in the future.
