Honored to stand alongside and serve as CEO and Brigade-level Task Force Commander of over 1,500 Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces in the US Navy's SEVENTH FLEET area of operations, encompassing all areas within INDO-PACIFIC west of the international dateline, from NE and SE Asia through Oceania and into the Indian Ocean. Executed operational command of staff and forces for maritime expeditionary security, explosive ordnance disposal/diving, construction/Seabee, and navy expeditionary logistics operations. Led the core Navy Expeditionary Battle Staff for crisis response and major combat operations in the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and surrounding areas.

Iraq

Forward deployed to Iraq for a 9-month period, honored to serve amongst and lead a team of over 30 military and civilian personnel forward deployed to Iraq and Syria, embedded in and responsible for supporting a very large multinational military organization of both general purpose and special operations forces, formed of U.S., ally and partner teams, directly supporting the successful recapture of Mosul and return of large swaths of Iraq from ISIS insurgents back to the Iraqi people. Worked directly alongside ally and partner forces from many different countries and backgrounds, as well as interagency, international and non-governmental organizations, using a team-of-teams approach to achieve a variety of goals in support of the various peoples of Iraq and Syria, even when challenged by ambiguity and uncertainty in a very dynamic environment. Led mission focused, geographically dispersed, cross functional team to overcome daily complex challenges, providing analysis, operational planning and assessments, innovative solutions, hands-on training, and key advice and assistance from the working level up to the senior executive levels of leadership, including partner nation senior military representatives, ambassadorial level and ministerial level.

Honored to serve with and lead a newly formed start-up Exercises Division with multiple branches composed of very talented civilians and military officers, operating dispersed across the United States and overseas in a dozen locations. Provided realistic training to large military organizations, in both simulated and live fire field environments. Used innovating and disruptive techniques to get out of the comfort zone and harness the power of unique diverse thinking and full team contribution to achieve difficult objectives in a complex and ambiguous environment.

One-year full time in-person graduate study, including focused study as part of the senior acquisition cohort, the highest level in-resident acquisition program in the Department of Defense. Selected along with a small group of other incredibly talented senior civilians and uniformed personnel from across the joint services, non-DoD agencies, and dozens of partner nations. The multi-disciplinary curriculum used a combination of seminar based study, written analysis, electives, exercises and field analyses of domestic and foreign industries. Also participated in Environmental Industry Study focused on fresh water availability, ecological challenges, demographics and human population growth, energy production and a variety of other relevant topics.

Honored to serve with and lead a geographically dispersed organization providing high risk training on a daily basis, to both individuals and small teams, tailored to specific training and enabling objectives, ranging from single day lecture style courses to multi-month field training including parachuting, diving, live day/night small arms fire, and live demolitions training. Organization also responsible for evaluation of emerging technology for task suitability, feasibility, adaptation and rapid fielding. Worked within the organization to encourage continuous assessment and improvement towards a variety of objectives, sparked outside-the-box innovation in revolutionary deployment and employment of a variety of unmanned tools and robotics, resulting in ahead of schedule emergency fielding of new underwater technology to the field to greatly reduce risk to personnel and equipment. First deployment of UUVs from fixed wing aircraft to respond anywhere around the globe in support of forward deployed naval forces. Responsible for both instructor cadre training and all administrative support, personnel management, logistics, maintenance, sustainment, financial management, IT and communication support across all dispersed offices within the organization. Executive Assistant to the Director, Pakistan Afghanistan Coordination Cell, Joint Staff, the Primary Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) for all issues Pakistan and Afghanistan at the height of U.S. Department of Defense involvement in Afghanistan. As Executive Officer and Acting Commanding Officer, honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with and oversee a 220-member, overseas combat unit comprised of a 60-member headquarters/C-suite element, eleven subordinate combat force explosive ordnance disposal platoons/teams, one flyaway dive recompression team, and two shore-based detachments responsible for daily live explosives and diving operations. Directly supervised 7 department heads and additional special staff in the daily conduct of high risk training and operations, as well as all required administrative, personnel management, logistics/sustainment, and command and control requirements. Achieved solutions for complex problems through technical problem solving, critical thinking, and innovative solutions from teams and leaders built within an incredibly positive organizational culture. Provided organized, trained and equipped EOD and dive teams for tactical execution of counter IED, unexploded ordnance, sensitive site exploitation, emergent diving, naval underwater mine countermeasures, special operations air mobility, and homeland defense missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Republic of the Philippines, and across the Indo-Pacific theater of operations.
