Schoolyard Roots is leading a local food movement in Alabama. We build teaching gardens in elementary schools and help teachers bring the classroom outdoors, and students in direct contact with the food they eat; increasing academic performance, healthy food habits, and excitement about school. As Interim Executive Director I am helping the board of directors deliver SYR into its next chapter.
