I am Chief Economist with the New Zealand Initiative, New Zealand's leading private think-tank. I previously served for over a decade as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Canterbury.I help set the research plan for the organisation, provide direction to our research teams, and lead some of our research projects directly. I also provide regular media commentary on economics and policy.
