Currently, I work for Cisco Systems as a Network Consulting Engineer. As a Consulting Engineer, I primarily support Data Center customers within various environments. I provide multiple customer based deliverables on hardware/software end of life, PSIRT and vulnerabilities, Field Notices, Design support and review, Configuration best practices and review, and scheduled change maintenance windows. Based on the scope, I also provide assistance in troubleshooting major outages and cases where customers request involvement. Previously, I worked as part of a small operations team for CEDAR Document Technologies, a small SaaS company that required production, non-production, and corporate network segmentation. My responsibilities included managing network device backups, upgrades and tuning; analyze, coordinating, and troubleshooting complex network issues in accordance to company change control policy and maintaining customer SLAs. Prior to CEDAR, I served as an Instructor teaching advanced networking topics for the Air Force. We focused on CCNP level knowledge for returning students. My goal was to provide students with information that can be directly applied to their home base after the course in hopes to deter network vulnerabilities and shortfalls.I've supported a wide range of systems including: Cisco Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K data center switches, Cisco UCS 6100/6200 series Fabric Interconnects, Cisco Catalyst 2K/3K/4K/6K switches, ASA 5500/5500-X and Firepower 4100 series firewalls, Cisco 2800 and 3800 routers, Aruba wireless controllers and APs. For specific technologies, I've deployed and configured many variations of the following: Cisco ACI, VXLAN EVPN with Ingress Replication, Cisco UCS domains, VLANs, VTP pruning and manual VLAN pruning, Spanning-tree protocols (CST, PVST, RSTP, MST), OSPF/EIGRP/i-eBGP configuration, redistribution/filtering, IPv6 technologies and RIPng configuration, and advanced network security via VACL/Private VLANs.
