I managedSetWorks (Electronic Database for employment member profile, demographics, progress notes, file storage and recording job/housing placement and progress). I was responsible for assessing service Fidelity to the Permanent Supportive Housing and Individual Placement and Support evidence based practices models. I primarily worked with folks who are discriminated against every day and who faced multiple barriers to being housed and gaining employment. I also reviewed all housing and employment progress notes to check for errors, issues and fidelity requirements.

I started at Gateway as a practicum student and it was where I flourished as an addiction counselor. It was also where I realized that SUD treatment in Washington State is largely legally motivated and few individuals attend treatment on their own accord. It was at Gateway where my leadership skills started to develop. Even though I was one of the newest staff members, I was quickly placed in charge of reviewing documentation for all the counselors. During their Department of Health audit, my files were used for the selection to be audited. They passed with a near perfect score. I realized that I wanted to try something different and that led me to Peer Spokane which was a non-clinical environment based on the peer ideology.
