I am a passionate and dedicated educational professional with a proven track record of helping and teaching Florida's children in developmentally appropriate and inspiring environments. In 2023, I integrated classroom management strategies from conscious discipline into my teaching style and I facilitated a workshop for others to learn from me. Many of the hundreds of families who have worked with me would describe me as a loving, kind, empathetic, and caring teacher, and if you need some testimonies and letters I have received over the years during my teaching career, please let me know. I work in early childhood education at the moment, but my career does not limit me. I have taken over classrooms as old as 12th grade and started my career in the classroom becoming a substitute teacher before I even graduated. During college, I was a jack-of-all-trades and I studied educational topics pertaining to math, science, art, social science, educational strategies, teaching, pedagogy, learning theory, and advising. I graduated with my BS in child and youth studies in 2018. Last year I received my Master of Arts in educational leadership while studying higher education. During this time, I worked on my advising and mentoring skills. I studied higher education so that I could be an unrelenting community advocate for the needs of children. I love giving children interactive and inspiring lessons that transform their perspectives. I utilize inquiry-based models, but I also dabble with a healthy dose of constructivism. I believe that we have to meet kids where they are at and we need to stop academic push down.
